The State of Maharashtra hosts numerous emerging and established industrial hubs. Exports from the state amounted to $72.50 billion in the period from April 2022 to March 2023, showcasing a robust contribution to the national export landscape. The Industrial Policy of 2019 has led to the establishment of Export Promotion Councils and District Export Promotion Councils under the ‘One District One Product’ scheme, aimed at promoting exports and establishing emerging export hubs in every district.
