~ Commits to green energy with rooftop solar panels and employment to 300 personnel at the Chakan manufacturing facility ~

BENTELER Automotive, one of the world’s leading companies in the fields of automotive technology, steel and tube production and engineering, have started operations at their brand new, 150,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility in Horizon Industrial Park-Chakan II.

The BENTELER plant was inaugurated on 30th November 2022 by Ralf Goettel, CEO BENTELER Group, and Emerson Galina, COO BENTELER Automotive, in the presence of Mukund Gangane, Managing Director at BENTELER Automotive India, and Rahul Pandit, CEO-Horizon Industrial Parks.

Mukund Gangane, Managing Director at Benteler Automotive India Pvt Ltd. said: “The shifting of equipment to the new location was done in less than 90 days. A truly remarkable technical achievement and proof of the excellent international teamwork at BENTELER. Thanks to our colleagues in Germany and China for their support and guidance during the relocation. With this new location, BENTELER is becoming one of the largest rear axle manufacturers in the country.”

With the new plant, BENTELER Automotive India has reaffirmed their commitment to green power by opting rooftop solar panels, which have been installed in record time by Horizon. The entire building has also been developed using sustainable construction materials and designed with energy and water efficient systems.
